You will be working in customer service and retail sales. Assist in planting and maintenance of greenhouse plants, trees, shrubs, and roses in retail nursery. Outgoing personality is a must! Experience is not necessary, but helpful. Job may also include some work on our landscape crews with installation of flowers, perennials, shrubs, and trees.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable driving record (We will check your record for insurance purposes).
• Must be in good physical health and able to do heavy lifting. 40-50 lbs
• Must have recent tetanus shots
• Must be at least 16 years old (Must be 18 to run power equipment)
• Uniforms are required - Company will furnish shirts. Must wear closed toe shoes.
• Company policy prohibits use of addictive drugs
• Company policy prohibits use of alcohol during work hours.
• No smoking is allowed during work hours, or anywhere on our property or customer's property.

Additional job duties that are helpful, but not required:

• Knowledge and operation of the following machines, vehicles and power equipment:
  • Point of sale cash registers
  • Bobcats
  • John Deere Garden Tractor
  • Lawn Mower

Job Opening Date: September 15, 2021

Hours: 30-40 hour work weeks with up to 60 hours available during peak Spring-Summer season (Overtime 1 1/2)

Saturdays required - we are not open Sundays (Those under 18 will be limited hours according to Federal rules).

Wages: Depending on experience

Payroll: Wages are paid on a weekly basis on Mondays.

Company Discounts: Merchandise Discounts available after 30 days of full time work.

Insurance: Discounted Health and Dental insurance allowed after 90 days of full time work for full time employees that are eligible and wish to participate.
